BEL's Top Five Buffoon Quotes of 2014

Politicians say the damndest things. Here are my picks for the Top 5 Worst Quotes of 2014!

Governor Andrew Cuomo New York
“Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York…”

Beginning of 2014, Cuomo began to attack Conservatives living in New York in a radio show by stating they don’t belong here. Hey Andy, I’m not going anywhere… Let's hope in the beginning of 2015 Cuomo chooses his words a little better the next time he has to give a speech.

Rep. Joe Garcia
“Two of the safest cities in America are on the border with Mexico. Of course, the reason is we’ve proved that communism works. If you give everybody a good government job, there is no crime.”

Garcia made the comment in May 2014 during a Google hangout he convened to talk about comprehensive immigration reform with supporters. The Democrat attempted to point out how, for all their talk about limited government, many Republicans are fine spending loads of government money on border security. Guess the Congressman forgot that USSR failed under communism while a capitalist nation is still booming. Maybe he should stop eating his earwax. Carry on

President Barack Obama on ISIS
“We don’t have a strategy yet.”

It's was too soon to say what steps the United States will take against ISIS in Syria, President Barack Obama said in August admitting his administration does not have a strategy to combat the militant Islamic group. But he does have a strategy on how to hit one under par.

Hillary Clinton
“Don’t let anybody tell you it’s corporations and businesses that create jobs!”

So who creates job then?….. Clinton certainly didn't after raising the minimum wages in 2007 which in 2008 led to an economic crisis and her not offering any solutions to the recession.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi
“Civilization as we know it today would be in jeopardy if Republicans win the Senate.” As if that weren’t enough of a whopper, in the ame interview she goes on to claim that [f]ear is a motivator, and we are not fear-mongers. The Democrats are messengers of hope…”

In September House, the House Minority Leader told “Real Time” host Bill Maher that Democrats are not “fear-mongers” but at the same time stated civilization is doomed if Republicans manage to take control of the Senate. Well guess what, the Republican came and conquered the Senate, is civilization doomed now?!
