Round 1 is in the books, and it was a wild one! Over 400 votes were tabulated, and we have our "Egregious Eight" set for Round 2. Some highlights from the first round's votes.
- Auntie Maxine took HHS Secretary Tom Price to the ol' woodshed, amassing over 86% of the vote.
- Al Franken bolsters his Buffoon credentials by (planning to) resign from the Senate in disgrace, cruising to a near 2-to-1 margin over former FBI Director / Leaker James Comey.
- Morning Joe was way too buffoonish for even Glenn Thrush, breaking the vaunted 80% barrier.
- Jim Acosta won the "Battle of CNN Buffoons", proving that no one actually watches CNN's "New Day" enough for Chris Cuomo's buffoonery to even matter.
- As predicted, Kathy Griffin was the top overall vote-getter of Round 1, crushing Debra Messing with a whopping 93% of voters
- The battle between Jimmy Kimmel and Lena Dunham came down to a SINGLE VOTE, with Kimmel moving on.
- The NFL left Michael Issacson in its wake with close to 3/4 of the vote, but the real winner was the show, who Issacson blocked on Twitter for being included in BOTY!
- In another squeaker, the "Resistance" barely got passed Lavar Ball buffoonery
