The biggest show of the year! Behind Enemy Lines Radio traveled to the Federation for American Immigration Reform's (FAIR) "Hold Their Feet to the Fire" event and are bringing you the BEST interviews from that event in the first of (at least) two awesome shows.
Michelle Malkin is a mother, wife, blogger, conservative syndicated columnist, longtime FOX News commentator, #1 New York Times bestselling author, and host of Michelle Malkin Investigates. She is the author of six books, and is the founder of conservative Internet start-ups Hot Air and Twitchy.com. And with all this going on, she had time to come on our show to talk about her latest book - Sold Out: How High-Tech Billionaires & Bipartisan Beltway Crapweasels Are Screwing America's Best & Brightest Workers - where she sets her sights on the corrupt businessmen, politicians, and lobbyists flooding our borders and selling out America’s best and brightest workers.
Speaking of amazing guests, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) has been a champion of true immigration reform. He believes the best way to accomplish true immigration reform is to tackle one specific issue at a time – like border security, visa reform, interior enforcement, and workplace verification – in targeted bills, then implement each reform and report on its progress before moving on to the next step. We talk about immigration, as well as his latest book - Written Out of History: The Forgotten Founders Who Fought Big Government - and where he currently stands on the health care bill negotiations!
Next, we get wonky with the Executive Director and General Counsel of the Immigration Law Reform Institute (ILRI) Dale Wilcox. Dale is a distinguished litigator who has dedicated his career to protecting civil rights and promoting accountability, transparency, and integrity in government and fidelity to the rule of law. Russ and Gene discuss the recent SCOTUS decision on the President's travel suspension and what the future may hold in October when the Court hears oral arguments.
Finally, Gene and Russ get into the nitty-gritty of patrolling the border with Hector Garza, the Vice President of the National Border Patrol Council, and a Border Patrol Officer since 2000. Hector is extremely passionate about border security and getting the real stories of the men and women of the US Border Patrol into the media and public arena.
It's a jam-packed show - and Russ Gallo is BACK!
