#ResetTheClock: 28 Days Later, Nassau County Exec Arrested For Corruption

Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano, a Republican, and others have been charged with corruption a mere 28 days after advisers to NY Governor Andrew Cuomo were arrested.

Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano was arrested along with his wife, Linda, and Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto in an alleged bribery and kickback scheme. Here's the sad sordid tale from the New York Post:
The charges against Mangano center on his ties to federally indicted Long Island restaurant magnate Harendra Singh — and allege that Mangano helped Singh with business deals, and in return was treated to free vacations and other perks, sources said Wednesday
Singh is assisting the feds in a probe into Mayor de Blasio’s campaign fundraising, the New York Times reported earlier Wednesday. It is unclear whether Singh is cooperating in the Mangano case
Mangano is charged with honest-services fraud in connection with two Nassau County contracts. They involve the provision of bread and rolls to the Nassau County jail in June 2012, and the provision of $237,000 worth of food to workers in the aftermath of superstorm Sandy, sources told Newsday.
It seems like NY corruption knows no party, as, apparently, the same target is connected to both Republican Mangano and Democrat de Blasio have a common denominator.

Will the boys in blue be knockin' on ol' Warren Wilhelm's door soon? At the rate politicians fall in the "People's Republic of " New York, your guess is as good as mine.
