According to Sources at CBS Philadelphia, Authorities are saying that a Philadelphia police officer is recovering after he was shot several times in the arm during an ambush attack late Thursday night in West Philadelphia - and that the attacker who confessed to committing the heinous crime "in the name of Islam".

The officer — 33-year-old Jesse Hartnett — was struck three times in his arm, authorities say.

“Shots fired! I’m shot! I’m bleeding heavily!” Hartnett can be heard yelling on police radio.

Sources tell Eyewitness News the suspect has given a full confession, saying he did it in the name of Islam.

“When you look at the video, this is one of the scariest things I’ve ever seen,” Commissioner Ross said. “This guy tried to execute the police officer. The police officer had no idea he was coming. It’s amazing he’s alive.”

"In the name of Islam" has become all too familiar a cry in the news in past years.  There is no word yet as to whether government considers this an "act of terrorism".  However, if friends like J.C. Polanco, who came on last week's show and the MSM  considers Ranchers taking over a federal building without any violence or harm an act of terrorism, I don't see how this cannot be.
