Doubleheader! Judson Phillips & Matt Schlapp Go Behind Enemy Lines!

We're bringing you a two-fer this week as we welcome back our pal Judson Phillips, founder of Tea Party Nation and we welcome the Chairman of the American Conservative Union, Matt Schlapp!

Judson Phillips is the founder of Tea Party Nation is one of the largest Tea Party Groups in the country and the number one national tea party site on the Internet.  A lawyer by profession, Judson has been involved in politics since his teens.  He became active in Republican politics after the 1980 presidential election.  “Ronald Reagan inspired me,” he says.  He is a prolific writer, publishing several daily columns for various websites and for the Washington Times. He is a frequent guest on cable and broadcast news shows, including on Fox, MSNBC, CNN and others.

Judson will be joining the show this week to discuss the Fair Treatment For All Gifts Act, which is legislation drafted in response to the growing IRS scandal.  Introduced by Senator Portman, this bill has been sent to the Senate Finance Committee where it will be studied and hopefully passed as it was in the House. If enacted, the new legislation will take away the discretion of the IRS on how the treat donations to 501(c)(4) organizations and forbids the IRS from treating donations to 501(c)(4) organizations as gifts.

Matt Schlapp is the ninth Chairman of the nation’s oldest and largest conservative grassroots organization - the American Conservative Union. Prior to holding this prestigious and influential position, Schlapp served as President Bush’s political director during the re-election bid, and he had previously served as his deputy political director. During the 2000 presidential campaign he was a Regional Political Director with oversight of the midwest states of Missouri, Arkansas, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Kansas, and Oklahoma.

We can go on and on and on about Matt Schlapp's amazing biography, which you can read here, but let's just say he's kinds of a big deal.  People know him.  He owns many leather bound books.  You get the idea. 

Matt will go Behind Enemy Lines with us to discuss the latest Election 2016 news, and we'll be sure to get his opinions on a whole host of candidates running (dare we ask about the Donald?  we may just dare!)
