Today marks a first for me - the first time a "celebrity" has blocked me on social media. And it's all because of one little tweet.
#LiberalLogic lesson of the day: Some words are racist, except when they're not @questlove @BEL_Radio @WAAR_Media pic.twitter.com/4peXAZ6D4q

Now who could get mad at that, right?
In case you missed it, liberal hypocrisy as we know it changed forever when - in one day, mind you - Questlove, drummer for The Roots (and by the way, a legit musical original) called out the use of the word "thug" as a racial "dog whistle" that is used in place of the N-Word as a sort of covert racism.
Questlove isn't the only one to think this way. On the same day, Salon (which also wrote about the above-mentioned tweet) published an article detailing the perceived history of this "dog whistle",in accusing right-wing politicos of an intentional pattern of using innocuous words to connote racial undertones.
And wouldn't you know it? On the same day, President Obama used the same "dog whistle" to call out the "criminals" tearing apart Baltimore in response to the death of Freddie Gray, a man who died while in police custody under unknown circumstances.
But President Obama wasn't the only Democrat politician using the T-word. Even Baltimore's female Democrat Mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake used it in the same way as President Obama.
So is it racist, or isn't it? I guess like with most "Liberal Logic", the answer depends on who is saying what when. Double standards are allowed, so long as they are in the favor of a Liberal.
Russ and I will talk more about this on Wednesday night's show at 10 PM ET.
But until then, I'll miss you, Questlove.
As much as I love The Roots,I got to go with my heart & side with my man Gene on this one.Keep it coming! It means your on to something!
